A short Note

I'll just drop a short note here to keep readers from forgetting me. My visit to Mayo last Monday went well and the process of re-installing some teeth in my empty jaw will be involved and rather lengthy. When I get a creative urge I will flesh this out some, so stand by.

"My visit...went well"

You say those few words, but we sure had a lot more thoughts and fears, didn't we? I kept hoping for the best but still feared that cancer would be found somewhere else.

Watching others at Mayo is humbling because everyone there has a medical story. I watched a mother and daughter while waiting for you getting the pet scan. The daughter wore a scarf on her head, a sign that there's probably no hair on her head. They talked animatedly, but quietly. When the daughter got up, I watched the mother close her eyes. I believe she was praying. I was praying for you; she was praying for her loved one. I realized that my prayer should have no more weight than hers. But that day, my prayer was answered again..."the visit...went well."

I guess Dad just boils it down to what is most vital, eh?

Dad, just wondering if they told you that you must do the teeth. Are you getting by OK without them? Maybe you need them there as further anchors? I'm just wondering if it's an elective surgery or if you have to do it.

Thank you for the update.

I heard the good news of your clar PET scan via Phil. I called him on his birthday and he told me you had been up to Rush City on your bike with him. So knew your scan had gone well. I am so glad to hear that.
